RESEARCH TOPICS

The main scope of the subline consists on designing and tailoring new nanostructured multifunctional materials, or new processing routes, taking nature as a model.

The research covers from the synthesis of the nanopowders to their consolidation in dense nanostructured materials, including the analysis of their physical (mechanical, optical, electrical…) properties, providing a deep emphasis on the study of the sintering processes and on the advanced characterization of both dense bulk and interfacial structures by making use of synchrotron light. 

The expertise of the research group includes the development of:
