The CINN is pleased to welcome Dr. Masahiro Nawa as a newly visiting scientist.
Dr. Nawa holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Osaka and has worked during 35 years in R&D in Panasonic Corporation, first in Panasonic Electric Works Co. (1978-2011) where he was Research Director of the Advanced Technologies Development Laboratory from 2004 to 2011 and later as Research Director of the Medical Instrument and Hospital System Business Unit of Panasonic Healthcare Co.(2011-2013).
Dr. Nawa’s expertise includes: material engineering in ceramics; mechanical properties, powder metallurgy, micro-structural control through sintering process and nanocomposite materials. His contributions have been particularly relevant in the field of ceramic nanocomposites for biomedical applications. In fact, he is inventor in 6 patents on Alumina-Zirconia nanocomposites and has published numerous articles on this topic.
Dr. Masahiro Nawa brings his wealth of knowledge in ceramic nanocomposites to the Multifunctional Materials and Nanocomposite group of the CINN.
